We slept well and enjoyed a great array of breakfast options. The hot tub was extra hot and quite pleasant. I can’t imagine what it costs to heat that pool in this single-digit weather we’ve been having. While a bit chilly, it was nice considering the extreme winter temperatures outside. This was perfect for our kids (boys age 7, 4, and 2). We settled in, enjoyed the wide variety of food and drink at the Kickback. On the north side of the metro area, you are 20 minutes from downtown Kansas City and 30 minutes from Fort. The front desk agent (Davin? Dustin? Devin?) was super helpful, arranging our park and fly and getting us set up for the 5:30 kickback and breakfast the following morning. The Drury Inn & Suites Kansas City Airport is four miles from Kansas City International Airport off I-29. We checked in around 3:30pm and immediately had a room. I was able to find a rate comparable to what I’d pay at the nearby Marriott properties, and they had an option of park and fly for $8/night (which was cheaper than my usual Parking Spot). So yesterday, we decided we were sick of snow days and wanted to get out of the house a night early before our late morning flight out of MCI. I’m a pretty loyal Marriott customer (200+ lifetime nights), but I had booked my wife at a Drury back in November, and she couldn’t stop raving about all the inclusions at Drury.
